Personal Branding Case Study #1
Problem:
Michelle Paquette is a generation-x entrepreneur who started a business and life coaching company after an early career as a professional therapist. Michelle had also worked in the public relations and marketing fields, and her business soon included script writing consulting and marketing. Her big dream, however, was to have a company that focused solely on public relations or somehow included all of her passions through media. By trying to handle the full agenda of business needs, she felt her business was perceived as having a lack of commitment and focus. Michelle came to Kimberly Bordonaro Personal Branding wanting a way to put her passionate nature into a marketable brand for her career.
Solution: The “Go-Getter” Personal Branding Program
Michelle went through a series of intensive one-on-one personal brand coaching sessions designed to make her definitively answer who she was, what she does, for whom she does it and what she has to offer that others don’t. She also discovered elements that she could include in her brand environment to make a connection to herself and her passion for her work.
Result: The Luxury Lifestyle Brand
A revelation came to Michelle during the brand architecture phase. She realized that she was overextending herself in her business for fear of losing opportunities and not succeeding. She also realized that by focusing on her brand goals, she could better decide which opportunities she should dedicate her time to. Michelle is passionate about helping other people live their passions. She also enjoys the luxury lifestyle and promoting products related to this industry. Because of this, she is currently implementing an action plan to reestablish her company as Paquette Media, a public relations firm dedicated specifically to promoting luxury products and lifestyles.
